Our team is made up of dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the world. From our volunteers to our board members, everyone at Payson Warming Center is committed to our mission and the children we serve.

Cheryl is first and foremost a Registered nurse and was a Nursing professor. During her nursing career she held many management positions, including Director of Nursing. She has more than seven years of experience on a nonprofit BOD in SOCAL. During that time she served in every capacity except treasurer. The last four years she served as president.

Cody is the Vice President and Culinary Director of The Warming Center.
He also ensures the food pantry is stocked and there are hot meals 7 days a week. He is able to do all of this with donations and help from the food bank. He feeds at least one thousand people dinner a month and that number is steadily growing.

Carol Graduated with honors from Arizona State University. She managed the department of Student Accounts after graduation. Carol served for non-profit organizations her whole life, including 4-H Clubs, a 4-H Summer Camp, an InterVarsity Campus Camp, a Youth Hockey League, PTO President, School Parent Advisory Committees and Church Groups.

Christina Furlong is a lifelong resident of Payson, Arizona and a dedicated community leader with over two decades of volunteer service. As a local business owner for more than eight years, she brings practical experience in financial oversight, sustainability planning, and community engagement to her role with The Warming Center.

David has been a small business owner for over five years. He has more than five years of experience in working with the homeless and persons with addiction issues. Throughout his life David has remained committed to service as evidenced by his work with the PHHVI, the Church on the Street and the Phoenix Dream Center.

Jennifer supports strategic direction, community outreach, and program development. Her compassion and experience help expand the center’s reach and impact. She is committed to helping individuals and families find stability.

Brandon Furlong brings entrepreneurial experience, financial insight, and a strong commitment to community service to his role as a Board Member of the Warming Center. In 2025, Brandon joined The Warming Center Board of Directors, where he serves on both the Fundraising Committee and the Financial Committee.

David oversees all daily operations of the Payson Warming Center, ensuring every guest receives safety, dignity, and compassionate support.
With years of leadership experience and a heart for service, David coordinates programs, manages staff, oversees crisis response, and builds relationships with community partners.
His vision and dedication help guide the center through both immediate needs and long-term strategy, making him a cornerstone of our mission and success.

Cody leads our entire culinary program, ensuring more than eleven thousand meals each year are prepared with consistency, care, and compassion.
He manages kitchen operations, food safety, menu planning, meal distribution, and donation coordination — often working behind the scenes long before guests arrive.
Cody’s leadership, heart, and work ethic are essential to the center. His commitment ensures that every guest receives not just food, but nourishment, dignity, and a moment of comfort during difficult times.

David provides direct support to guests through intake, case management, and resource coordination.
He works one-on-one with individuals and families, helping them navigate crisis, access services, and find pathways toward stability and self-sufficiency.
His compassion, organizational skill, and dedication create a welcoming environment where every guest is seen, heard, and supported. David’s work is central to connecting people with real help and meaningful solutions.

The Payson Warming Center (PHHVI) is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to providing safety, warmth, and essential services to individuals and families in crisis. We serve Payson and the Rim Country every single day through compassion, connection, and hands-on support. Our team works alongside volunteers, donors, and partners to ensure no one in our community is left without help, dignity, or hope.

We provide daily access to meals, showers, clothing, hygiene essentials, transportation assistance, safe sleeping arrangements, and emergency support. Through our safe landings program, case management, and resource connections, we help individuals stabilize, navigate crisis, and move toward long-term solutions. We also host community fundraisers, benefit events, and donation drives to sustain our services and meet the growing needs of our guests year-round.

We show up for our community every day —
accepting donations from 2:30–6:30 PM, coordinating local partnerships, hosting Facebook fundraisers, organizing benefit events. we are advocating for those experiencing crisis, homelessness, or hardship From 4:00pm - 6:00pm With the support of volunteers, donors, and local businesses, we ensure thousands of meals, showers, clothing items, transports, safe landings, and emergency resources are provided each year.
